Artist on the inside, business woman on the outside.
Working in digital media advertising.

I <3 photography, fine arts, graphic design, cleverness, irony, poetry and have a healthy addiction to social media.

I LOVE photography for it's powerful ability to communicate and leave you wondering. Aside from photography itself, I think the internet was the greatest invention of all time.

(via Badass of the Week: Hideaki Akaiwa)
Now, while most people would have been content in the knowledge that their family was safe, Hideaki Akaiwa isn’t the sort of badass who’s going to hang up his flippers and quit just because he’d taken care of his own personal shit – this guy made an oath to keep going back into the wreckage on his own to find people and help them to safety. Today this 43 year-old Japanese badass rides out every single day, multiple times a day, riding around on a bicycle with his legs wrapped in plastic to keep himself dry. His only equipment – a pocketknife, a canteen, a flashlight, a change of clothes, and a badass set of aviator sunglasses – packed into a trusty trio of backpacks, he rides out in search of people needing rescue, a modern-day, real-life action hero.

Wow! So interesting… Not sure how I’d react if it was my photo. Makes me contemplate posting so many photos publicly… could it be good or bad for my career? One thing for sure is that this guy needs a good LAWYER!

FYI- Glimpse Magazine is not about politics, it’s about sharing stories from students who study abroad (the only people that paid him and he doesn’t even know what it’s about!) http://glimpse.org/about/ It was supported in part by National Geographic, but was bought by Matador and they list Glimpse on their About page now. - http://matadornetwork.com/about/

How do you like them apples?!

Identity Theft of the Day: Some five years ago, Israeli expat Noam Galai posted a series of five photos of himself screaming on Flickr. Since then, those photos have been reproduced hundreds of times in various forms of media across ~40 countries including Iran, where his face was used as a symbol of civil unrest in anti-government protests.

The kicker? Galai had no clue this was going on.

“Artists like their work to be published and seen by as many people as possible… it’s another way to publish my work. It’s not me publishing it, but other people publish my work for me.”

Looky what I found! Cesar Millan quotes in your pocket!

I had no idea about this app and I’m so excited to know it exists!<3 La

This sound board features a variety of Cesar’s well known quotes, as well as his signature “Snap…Tsst!” used to remind dogs—and people—who the pack leader is.

You may use the application to optionally add a show time reminder to a Google calendar (Google account required).
